Privacy Policy

Effective date: 20 October 2026

1. Who we are

Fairlea Aged Care runs three residential aged care homes in Sydney:

  • Fairlea Penshurst, 11 Hawk Street, Penshurst, operated by Oreison Pty Limited (ACN 080 318 529) as trustee for the EM Trust (ABN 22 629 733 760).
  • Fairlea Rosehill, 145 Good Street, Rosehill, and Fairlea Harris Park, 7-11 Crown Street, Harris Park, operated by Trinity Aged Care Pty Limited (ACN 097 298 845) as trustee for the N&J Fung Family Trust (ABN 76 708 608 238).

In this policy, “we” and “us” mean these providers. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains how we handle information collected through fairlea.com.au.

2. What we collect

When you request a private consultation, we ask for:

  • your name, phone and email
  • who the care is for and how you are related to them
  • the type of care needed and how soon it is needed
  • whether an ACAT assessment has approved care, and whether a means assessment letter has arrived
  • whether a home sale is involved, how you would prefer to pay for accommodation (RAD, DAP, a mix, government-supported, or not sure yet) and who makes the decision
  • any notes you choose to add

We do not ask for dollar amounts, bank details or Medicare numbers.

Some of this is health information, such as care needs and ACAT approval. The law treats health information as sensitive, so we only collect it with your consent. By sending the form, you consent to us collecting it for the reasons below. If you tell us about someone else, such as a parent, please let them know and show them this policy. You can call us with a general question without giving your name.

3. Why we collect it

  • to respond to your enquiry and call you back
  • to arrange a consultation or a tour
  • to help you understand fees and payment options before you decide

Fairlea never refuses a consultation because of someone’s financial situation. The payment questions only help us prepare the right information for you.

We will not use your information for any other reason unless you agree or the law requires or allows it. We do not sell your information. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails.

4. Booking a tour

If you book a tour through our online booking page, Cal.com handles the booking. Cal.com processes your name, email and booking details under its own privacy policy (cal.com/privacy).

5. Who sees it and where it is stored

Form submissions are emailed to the Fairlea staff who handle enquiries, using Google Workspace. Our website is hosted by 24K Design Studio in Singapore. Google and Cal.com may store information in data centres outside Australia, including the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Apart from this, we only share your information outside Fairlea if you agree or the law requires it.

6. Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Only staff who need it can see it, and our accounts are password protected.

If you do not become a resident, we keep your enquiry for 2 years and then delete it. If you or your family member becomes a resident, the information moves into the resident record, which we keep as aged care law requires. Residents also have a right to privacy and confidentiality of their personal information under the Statement of Rights in the Aged Care Act 2024.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies so it works properly. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see which pages and steps of our tour form are used. It does not collect what you type into our forms. Google may store this data outside Australia. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

8. Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact our Privacy Officer (details below). There is no charge to ask, and we will reply within 30 days.

9. Complaints

If you are worried about how we handled your information, please contact our Privacy Officer first. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
